Yes, it's sweet that you want to surprise the woman you'll be marrying when you come home from being gone for a long time.
Just don't do it by creeping up the stairs with the lights off at 12:30 in the morning when she has to be to work by 6 a.m. That's a good way to get somebody killed. (Unless maybe that's what you were going for in the first place.)
